The Croagh Patrick Hike (Ireland Mountain Pilgrimage)
The Croagh Patrick hike near the town of Westport, Ireland is one of the most popular and challenging climbs in the region. The significance of Croagh Patrick Mountain dates back to 441 AD when Saint Patrick is said to have fasted on the mountain for forty days. If you can endure over 2,400 ft of elevation gain (nearly 750 meters) then you’ll be rewarded with incredible views of Clew Bay and the surrounding Irish landscapes.

Hiking Trail of the Cedars Glacier National Park
For visitors looking to enjoy the peace and tranquility of strolling through a centuries old forest, hiking the Trail of the Cedars in Glacier National Park is a great introduction to one of my favorite US National Parks. I’ve now had the opportunity to visit Glacier National Park on two separate occasions, and it has easily become one of my favorite places I’ve ever traveled to!

Best Things to do in Glacier National Park
Known for some of the best hiking in the United States, in this post I’m going to cover the best things to do in Glacier National Park. I’ve had the opportunity to spend nearly 10 days exploring the park over the span of two visits. During these trips I hiked over 50 miles (80 km), canoed on Swiftcurrent Lake, drove the length of Going to the Sun Road multiple times and much more! If you’re planning a trip to Glacier National Park let this post serve as your guide to planning your itinerary.

Hiking Hidden Lake Glacier National Park
An afternoon spent hiking The Hidden Lake Trail in Glacier National Park should be on every visitors itinerary. Hidden Lake’s most recognizable feature is the snow painted Bearhat Mountain which towers over the lake’s icy waters. For me, Hidden Lake will always be near and dear to my heart. During my first trip out to Glacier National Park during the summer of 2020 it was the highlight of our visit.

Is Driving on Going to the Sun Road Scary?
If you’re planning your first trip to Glacier National Park you might be asking yourself, is driving on Going to the Sun Road scary? It’s a fairly subjective question, but throughout the course of this post I’ll describe what you should expect during your drive along Going to the Sun Road to help you arrive at an answer that aligns with your experience and comfort level for navigating mountain roads.

What to Know When Hiking to Avalanche Lake
Glacier National Park is home to some of the best hiking in the United States including the hike out to Avalanche Lake which is considered one of the best in the park. Not only is this one of the best hikes in the park, but it is also one of the most accessible. The trail out is well covered, relatively flat and not too lengthy.

Hike to a Waterfall at Redrock Falls Glacier National Park
Glacier National Park is known for turquoise lakes and stunning mountain views, but a hike to Redrock Falls offers visitors a chance to get up close with one of the parks best waterfalls. Personally, I can’t get enough of the alpine lakes and mountain vistas that Glacier has to offer. But if you’re looking to throw a slightly different view into the mix, consider doing so with a hike to the Redrock Falls Waterfall.

Hiking the Mount Brown Lookout Trail Glacier National Park
If you’re an avid hiker and looking for a serious challenge, consider hiking to The Mount Brown Lookout when visiting Glacier National Park. Less famous than The Highline Trail, this hike is significantly more strenuous and offers the best views of Lake McDonald in the entire park. But be warned, as the trail climbs a blistering 4,200 ft (1280 meters) during the 5 mile (8 km) ascent to the fire lookout tower.

Hiking Iceberg Lake Trail Glacier National Park
Iceberg Lake Trail is located within Glacier National Park which is home to some of the best hiking in the United States. And Iceberg Lake offers some of the best bang for your buck when it comes to big name day hikes within the park. While the views along the way aren’t much different than other areas of Many Glacier, the payoff once you reach Iceberg Lake will be unlike anything most hikers have had the opportunity to experience elsewhere in Glacier.
