My Z-axis. Cheap and exact enough for the beginning.   Note: I used a modified 28BYJ-48 stepper. (Cutting the connection between windings behind the blue lid. ) Now it works with 24V.  Belt is GT2 10mm and pulleys from ebay

Z-axis revision 2 The first axis had to much space in the aluminium rail. So it was not possible get a better accuracy than 1mm. All parts cut with the printer-scanner mill!!
