The snowmangler is well aware of its macabre disguise and knows how to put this mockery of an actual snowman to use. Stock-still and with soulless eyes, it stares into nothingness, waiting for its prey to draw close – either in the middle of a romantic winter wonderland, surrounded by actual sculptures made from snow or among a whole cohort of snowmanglers, each one waiting for its time to strike.
A frozen seedling is a quite harmless creation, posing absolutely no danger to anyone crossing its path. Nevertheless – or perhaps for this very reason – ruthless wanderers set out to hunt it down, longing for the subtle magic that slumbers within.
Still, a snow drake is considered to be a lucky find. It knows how to withstand the harsh conditions it dwells in and – for the right treat – is more than willing to share its expertise.
