FREE How a fossil is formed foldable sequencing activity for third or fourth grade KS2
Do your students need some extra help to remember the stages of fossilization? This fossil foldable activity has been successfully used by hundreds of teachers to help explain how a living thing becomes a fossil made of rock. During this activity, students will color a template, and sequence the stages of fossilization before cutting out their template and folding. They’ll LOVE opening up their foldout to show the stages inside! The activity uses the example of a Tyrannosaurus rex (T. rex). Use it for an Earth science lesson or center, for a fossils/dinosaur lesson or in your home school setting.
