12 Sources for Faux Taxidermy Animal Heads
We showcased a gallery of kids rooms earlier today that used animal heads as decor. Some of you still think they’re creepy, but maybe it’s just the idea of taxidermy that turns you off. Think of them, instead, as hanging sculpture. Many of them are downright works of art.Row 1:1. Puffin fabric sculpture. Textile taxidermy sea bird on drift wood.

The beak is closely woven cotton that I painted into the the characteristic puffin. Details of felt and english glass eyes. The wee fishes are made from a shimmering stretchy material with painted details. I felt that this long piece of driftwood was a perfect back drop to the colourful bird. It measures 77cm. Let me know if you have any questions.
