Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood. The Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood (later known as the Pre-Raphaelites) was a group of English painters, poets, and critics, founded in 1848 by William Holman Hunt, John Everett Millais and Dante Gabriel Rossetti.

Newly found Rossetti drawings reveal how Pre-Raphaelite master developed his style
Experts are thrilled about the discovery, because the paintings show how Rossetti developed the style that made him famous. They will go under the hammer in Dorchester, Dorset, later this week.
The stairway at Red House displays Morris' affinity for Medieval designs. The arch and posts allude to Gothic references. The highly designed ceilings also reminds me of the intricate designs on famous Medieval buildings.
