tips on getting rad sun flares with your DSLR! 1. make sure youve got some sunshine. 2. best times to shoot are typically sunrise and sunset hours. 3. be sure to have a fairly wide angle lens (they create larger flares and bursts) this shot was with a 24mm lens. 4. use a narrow aperture something near f/22. this was shot at f/18. 5. now go test it out! #ohyeahshore Re-post by Hold With Hope

How to Prevent Lens Flare
At some point you’ve almost certainly encountered lens flare, that bright glaring light that sweeps into photos, causing them to have a blurry, dappled appearance. Lens flare can happen when any bright, non-image forming light from the sun, or another light source hits the front element of your lens. It often appears as a polygonal shape, and is usually accompanied by a haze that lowers the contrast of an image considerably.
