Don't you just love Dr. Seuss! I totally heart him. Although my theme this year is not Dr. Seuss I can't resist putting up some posters and reminders for my kiddos in our library! After all he is the most amazing writer and most of the kiddos already know who he is or at least know some of his works! I am all about inspiring my kiddos and giving them a push to read more. I want to foster a love for reading and books in my students especially since books are becoming extinct! I am going to…

Fabulously Flawed: DIY book page lamp shade tutorial
So....I got really creative the other day and made something that I'm in LOVE with for my toddler's big boy room. I haven't been able to find a lamp that was both cute, and kid-like, but not too themey or juvenile. I mean...my son is only two but I didn't want cartoon character's ALL over his room. Well I happened to have an old Cat in the Hat book and decided to get creative with it. My son had destroyed and colored on half the pages and it was in a sad state so I thought I would re-purpose…

Dr. Seuss And The Lorax Are Taking Over Our Homeschool In March
As many of you may already know The Lorax comes out on March 2nd. Doesn't it look amazing? And since it is also Dr. Seuss's birthday on the 2nd there are a lot of really cool events going on (at least here in GA). So my wheels started turning and I decided why not do a Dr. Seuss and The Lorax unit study for March? Since The Lorax was written by Dr Seuss as a warning against mindless progress and the danger it poses to the earth's natural beauty we will also be incorporating lessons and…
