Nature-Inspired Paper Projects
A photo I took at Ken Lake in Olympia, WA. I transferred the photo onto a wood canvas I got at an art supply store. How to: Print photo on color printer, apply a gel medium (available at art supply stores) and put the photo, image side down, on the gel. Press firmly and evenly to get out air bubbles. Let dry overnight (24hrs) and take a wet cloth and gently rub off paper, image will be revealed. Make sure all the paper is off and than apply a varnish or I have read Mod Podge works too.
Transferring photos to wood/canvas etc. 1) Print photos on plain paper **Be sure to flip the photo horizontally before printing especially if there are words in the picture. 2) Paint surface with a gel medium *I used Liquitex Clear Gesso 3) Place your photo face down on the medium & smooth out any bubbles/wrinkles. *Let dry over night. 4) Spray with water & rub off the paper. 5) Coat with Mod Podge to complete your work of art! *I used Mod Podge Gloss-Lustré-Lustre. ~Happy Crafting ;)

Photo transferred to wood! Print out picture -high quality is best and must be laser printer (I put mine on a USB and took it to kinkos) Paint gel medium onto wood and lay picture face down -make sure it's really on there with no bubbles Dry for several hours, then get it wet and rub off the paper with fingertips or cloth. The ink is soaked up into the gel and the paper comes right off! I distressed the edges and stained the wood after to give it a worn effect.
