The inception of the Place of Peace Collection spans several years. Initially exploring black and white and film-emulated imagery, I temporarily shelved the project to focus on other endeavors. However, following the unexpected loss of my father, I felt compelled to resurrect this collection as a means of coping with my grief. My father and I shared the experience of visiting over 70 temples across the United States, influencing the essence of this portfolio significantly. During the creation process, I found myself deviating from my usual colorful style, opting for images devoid of color. This absence of vibrancy mirrored the void left by my father's absence during the period these artworks took shape.
