John Vassos Designed RCA Model 9K10 Art Deco Radio

Contracted by the Radio Corporation of America in 1934, Industrial designer John Vassos created iconic televisions, electric piano, the aluminum "suitcase" phonograph, and various radio cabinets for the company. His long and fruitful relationship with the company lasted into the 1970s. The 1936 model 9K10 featured a natural wood finish, wrapped in chromium tubes, complementing the tubular furniture of the day. These sets are incredibly rare, as few were ever produced.
