“I decided to focus on headwear because I had gone to the Women’s March, and there was a crazy number of pussycat hats,” said Amy Arbus, a photographer who has been capturing street style in New York City since the 1980s. “I loved the fact that people wore them in solidarity.”
this is interesting because of the subjects' clothing and expressions--they look as if they dont even know they are being photographed. I think Amy Arbus' choice of background was also successful because it compliments the clothing.
