The Tibetan wolf (Canis lupus chanco), also known as the "woolly wolf", is a gray wolf subspecies native to Asia from Turkestan throughout Tibet to Mongolia, northern China and the Indian subcontinent. The Tibetan is thought by some scientists to be the most likely ancestor of the domestic dog. The shaggy coat seasonally varies in color, usually a blend of yellow, brown, grey, and black. Its throat, chest, belly and inside of the legs is pure white.

The critically endangered Himalayan wolf is at risk of extinction due to a human-wildlife conflict in Nepal. Sign this petition to demand increased protections for this vulnerable species and keep this rare wolf species from being killed off.
