la cascada fue descubierta de forma accidental, hace 80 años atrás, cuando se estaba intentando construir un paseo turístico en el interior del complejo de las cuevas cercanas, y durante la excavación para construir un ascensor se descubrió un orificio. Por allí no podía pasar una persona, pero se podía escuchar el sonido de una cascada subterránea.

According to the tour guide, they aren't sure where this water is actually coming from..? It is incredible though, you take an elevator like a thousand feet down into this cave, then walk through the cave for about half an hour and this is at the end.

Ruby Falls at Lookout Mountain TN. We stopped here on our honeymoon and absoultely loved it. There is a tight elevator ride to the bottom and a long cave to walk through to get the falls. Might be tough for someone who is afraid of tight places or caves.
