The enso is a Buddhist symbol of enlightenment, in Zen art it is a time when the mind is simply free to create. The asymmetrical brush stroke of the enso is reflective of the Zen tradition of embracing the imperfection but continuity of life.
An Enzo. You could take several meanings from this. Basically a religious practice using Rice paper and a paintbrush. If you could make a perfect closed circle in one motion, you're mind was then free to let your body and spirit create.
Ensō is a Japanese word meaning "circle" I'd love to get an open enso tattoo to represent an ongoing journey and then later get a closed enso to represent that my I've come full circle but am still learning
