Kirikou et la sorciere

I am rolling out a new French 7 curriculum this year. Since my new units are thematic, I took a fresh look at the film Kirikou and thought about where (and if) it belonged in the curriculum.

Another foreign (France), animated family film to add variety to family movie night! (Available dubbed in English) This is about a tiny baby, Kirikou, who is very clever and must outsmart an evil sorceress who is a threat to his village. Be forewarned that animated nudity is everywhere in this film. (Think National Geographic -- not sexual but just a reality of life.)

Les conneries d'une wattpadienne - Kirikou

French movie drawn from elements of West African folklore about a boy named Kirikou who saves his village from the evil witch Karaba.
