You are allowed to terminate toxic relationships. You are allowed to walk away from people who hurt you. You are allowed to be angry and selfish and unforgiving. You don’t owe anyone an explanation for taking care of yourself.
People always think the the most painful thing in life is losing the one you value. The truth is, the most painful thing is losing yourself in the process of valuing someone too much and forgetting that you are special too.
Detoxing from an unhealthy relationship is a process and it takes time. There will be good days & bad days. Just remember, it is very difficult to be an emotionally healthy person while closely attached to a toxic person.
