Selene: Greek Goddess whose presence is felt when the moon is full. In the triple phase of womanhood, Selene is the fruitful mother at the Full Moon who stands proudly between the maiden Artemis at the Waxing Moon and the crone Hecate at the Waning Moon.

"Selene was the titan goddess and the divine personification of the Moon. She was a daughter of Hyperion, the titan of light, and the sister of Eos and Helios, correspondingly the titans of dawn and the Sun. Selene’s dearest lover was Endymion, who was granted eternal youth and immortality on the condition of spending his life asleep. Selene visited him every night and the couple had many children, the most notable of whom were the Menai, the goddesses of the lunar months."

NYX (Νυξ) was the goddess of the night, one of the ancient Protogenoi (first-born elemental gods). In the cosmogony of Hesiod she was born of Chaos, and breeding with Erebos produced Aether and Hemera, first components of the primeval universe. Alone, she spawned a brood of dark spirits, including the three Fates, Sleep, Death, Strife and Pain. In ancient art Nyx was portrayed as a either a winged goddess or charioteer, sometimes crowned with an aureole of dark mist.
