bless their heart. Many people remember a fallen soldier as a person in uniform. Sometimes that soldier is the four legged friend who saved your life. This is a sad but beautiful picture of pure respect for 2 fallen heroes.

MWD Gitta passed away recently from complications due to liver problems. She was 5 years old. During a tour of duty in 2009, Tech. Sgt. Steven Kaun, 5th Security Forces Squadron military working dog handler, and his trusted K-9 partner Gitta, served proudly together in support of the overseas mission.
