It is NOT designed to cover the entire bed. All sizes are 23” wide and the length is designed to drape approximately 14 - 15” over each side of the bed. It’s easy to make any of the blanket sizes longer by adding cable repeats. Pattern includes estimates for additional yardage needed to make blankets longer. SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate Experience with basic cable knitting is highly recommended. You will also need to know how to cast on stitches, knit and purl confidently, read a row by row knitting pattern, bind off stitches and weave in ends. This project is knit flat back and forth on US size 15 knitting needles. Blocking of finished knitting is recommended. This pattern is written in ENGLISH using standard U.S. knitting terms. Row by row knitting instructions. SUPER BULKY #6 WEIGHT YARN: (Knit single strand.) Twin Bed Runner: 550 - 575 yards Full Bed Runner: 670 - 700 yards Queen Bed Runner: 720 - 750 yards King Bed Runner: 900 - 950 yards This pattern will work well with many super bulky #6 weight yarns. I used Lion Brand Hometown in ‘Springfield Silver’. NEEDLES: US Size 15 knitting needles, at least 14" long. Longer circular needles are suggested to allow more room for stitches.
