European Robin (Erithacus rubecula), most commonly known in Anglophone Europe simply as the Robin, is a small insectivorous passerine bird that was formerly classed as a member of the thrush family (Turdidae), but is now considered to be a chat.

I love to hear a robin singing--it often means that spring has arrived or that a good needed rain is on its way./ Maybe he's singing the old hymn, What a Friend, we have in Jesus!
