Inside Ariana cinema hall, Kabul. It's one of the few (of about half a dozen) cinemas in the city. The 600-seat theatre was destroyed during the war, and then shut down by the Taliban. It was rebuilt with the support of French film professionals. which was built in the late 1960s and destroyed during the 1992-1996 civil war. The 875,000 euros (one million US dollars) renovation is the work of the ``Un cinima pour Kaboul'' association, the brainchild of several French filmmakers.
