Woman Reading (c.1903). Laura Muntz Lyall (Canadian, 1860-1930).In 1887 Lyall studied at South Kensington, and later in Paris at the Académie Colarossi under J. Leblanc and others. She received honorable mention in 1895 at the Paris Salon, won a bronze medal at the Louisiana Purchase Exposition in 1904 and a silver medal at the Pan-American Exposition in Buffalo in 1901.
