Once again, the Brazilian Association of Shrimp Breeders (ABCC) requested the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture (MPA) to desist from opening the domestic market to allow the entrance of Argentinean shrimp (Pleoticus muelleri).
Research by Nelson Peña Navarro of the University of Costa Rica (UCR), has showed that some natural products can be substitutes for antibiotics in disease control of farmed shrimp.
