When a friend sent me a text asking me if I wanted her big, "loved" brown couch from her playroom I was thrilled! Finally a chance to try painting upholstery.

Brazilian designer Leo Capote worked at his grandfather's hardware store for 20 years before meeting the Campana Brothers as customers. They offered him an internship at their firm if he went to college. His big break came when he found a chair structure that the firm had discarded and he covered it with 233 soup spoons. The Campana Brothers representative at the time, Marco 500, then invited him to create a line.

Elbow Chair The petite Elbow chair was used by Billy Haines in almost every interior for two decades from 1949-1965. They provided necessary seating for entertaining and parties and Haines liked to place them in front of low coffee tables. Women rested their elbows and leaned on them, sitting sideways creating an alluring glamorous stance. Elbow chairs were also done in leather with unicorn legs.
