In the winter my husband makes soup, typically on Sunday. Over the years we refer to this as our "Souper Sunday". This Minnesota Wild Rice Soup in one of our favorites and we make it each winter. Do make it ahead of time as it tastes better on the second day.

• 2 Celery stalks, finely chopped ((about 1 cup))
• 1/4 cup Chives
• 2 Leeks
• 3 tbsp Parsley
Canned Goods
• 2 qt Chicken broth
Pasta & Grains
• 3/4 cup Wild rice
Baking & Spices
• 1/4 cup All-purpose flour
• 1/2 tsp Salt
Dairy
• 2 tbsp Butter, unsalted
• 3/4 cup Heavy cream, hot
Beer, Wine & Liquor
• 3 tbsp Sherry, dry
