On 18 September 1944, the SS doctors conducted a selection in the prisoners' infirmaries. 330 Jews from men's quarantine camp, 65 boys from men's prisoners' infirmary were transported to the camp. They were all killed in the gas chambers. On the same day a transport with 2,500 Jews arrived from the Lodz ghetto. 80 percent of this transport consisted of children between 13 and 16 years of age. The remaining 2,350 people were killed in the gas chambers.

Case Study: Vali Rácz was a Catholic Hungarian born in 1911 – a famous singer and actress who went to great lengths to hide her Jewish friends, from the Nazi regime – putting her own life at risk on more than one occasion.

Nazi human experimentations were a series of medical experiments on large numbers of prisoners by the Nazi German regime in its concentration camps mainly in the early 1940s, during World War II and the Holocaust. Prisoners were coerced into participating; they did not willingly volunteer and there was never informed consent. Typically, the experiments resulted in death, disfigurement or permanent disability, and as such are considered as examples of medical torture.
