The Hispaniolan Trogon (Priotelus roseigaster) is a species of bird in the Trogonidae family. It is the national bird of Haiti. It is found on the island of Hispaniola shared by Haiti and the neighboring Dominican Republic.
Gouldian finches are found with three different head colours.Red, Orange and Black. In the wild black is the most common head colour and orange is by far the rarest. The species was recently reclassified by the IUCN from Endangered to Near Threatened
