NGC 3627: Revealing Hidden Black Holes The spiral galaxy NGC 3627 is located about 30 million light years from Earth. This composite image includes X-ray data from NASA’s Chandra X-ray Observatory (blue), infrared data from the Spitzer Space Telescope (red), and optical data from the Hubble Space Telescope and the Very Large Telescope (yellow). The inset shows the central region, which contains a bright X-ray source that is likely powered by material falling onto a supermassive black…

The Spiral Galaxy NGC 3627 - Located About 30 Million Light Years From Earth:

Spiral galaxy NGC located about 30 million light years from Earth.

Bubble Nebula (aka NGC 7635), in the constellation Cassiopeia, is formed from the wind of a massive star.

Astrophotographer Jaspal Chadha from London used an Altair Astro RC telescope to acquire this wonderful shot of NGC aka the Bubble Nebula.

Located some 150 million light-years from Earth, is the Galaxy NGC 922. Situated in the constellation of Fornax, NGC 922 is home to several large black holes. At least seven of the black holes detected in the galaxy are thought to be at least ten times as massive as our Sun, which makes them quite massive for black holes of the stellar-sized class.

Welcome to Galaxy NGC 922... mind the black holes!

-Ring Galaxy NGC 922 --The ring structure and the galaxy's distorted spiral shape result from a smaller galaxy scoring a cosmic bullseye, hitting the centre of NGC 922 some 330 million years ago.
