Kind of a prequel/sequel to Oryx & Crake, but you don't need to read that one to appreciate this one. I've never read a Margaret Atwood book I didn't like. This is one of her bleak dystopian future sci-fi books, but somehow manages not to be depressing.
Grace Marks has been convicted for her involvement in the vicious murders of her employer, Thomas Kinnear, and Nancy Montgomery, his housekeeper and mistress. Some believe Grace is innocent; others think her evil or insane.
Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood. Dystopian novel that asks compelling questions about what happens when scientists are gods. Like all Atwood novels, this one is thought-provoking and beautifully-written.
