A pierced rapier. Dating: circa 1600. Italy. Strong, straight blade of lozenge section, tang with crowned stamp "S"; iron hilt richly chiselled and pierced, double valve, border, guard, parry rings and rings all featuring baluster-shaped decorations, the valves, quillon-block and pommel pierced with floral motifs; grip with silver wire binding and moor's heads. Llength 130 cm.

A rapier with Caino mark. Dating: circa 1600. Italy  Straight, double-edged blade, grooved at the base with unclear inscriptions, concave ricasso with the signature "CAINO" and a slightly visible mark; iron hilt with straight quillons, guard and three parry rings with central knots, large oval pommel. Wooden grip with iron wire binding and moor's heads (probably later). In patina. To be cleaned. Length 137.5 cm.
