Buffalo Portrait by Dawn Romine
This great bull bison ruled the plains of the central United States, at one time they were found in herds numbering the thousands. Now these buffalo can only be found on ranches and safari parks in the Midwest like this great beast in Nebraska.

Yellowstone National Park | Proud Bison
Wildlife Photo of the Day - June 5, 2015: This was the last bison we came across leaving the park. He was walking on a small hill so I thought that would offer a different perspective. I got very low behind the rear bumper of our van so I could get this shot as he walked right passed me. I took this photo on a trip to Yellowstone with Nat Hab.
