Copper-alloy, 61 grams, 11.5 cm. 6th century AD. A cruciform brooch with rectangular headplate, bow and elongated foot. The headplate is a flat-section plaque with scored lines indicating the division between the headplate and lateral wings. The knobs are of the earliest form, modeled in the round and each with flattening to the reverse, with a collar and attachment peg.

Anglo-Saxon 'florid' cruciform brooch, copper-alloy. Pinned from an auction website, now presumably in a private collection. Allegedly found in Norfolk, though it is of a type more characteristic of the North. Late-5th to mid-6th century AD.
