Lettuce Challenge: Mesclun Greens
Sweet Mesclun Mix, also known as Mix Greens is a gourmet blend of various types of leaf lettuce and greens. Long popular in Europe, mesclun or mixed greens are being more widely used here. The French approach to salad greens–”mesclun” means “mixture.” Early sweet lettuces and tangy, tender greens are pre-mixed to grow together. A healthy and flavorful salad, they are as pretty in the garden as they are in the bowl.
