Finally got the time to post this. I had the great opportunity to work together with Creative Director Leonard Boyarsky on establishing the hard surface design style for The Outer Worlds very early on in the project. Was some of the most fun freelance work I have done, with great iteration and arriving at a design I am quite happy with! All just rendered straight out of Modo from the concept model.

The Outer Worlds is one of the best games of the year, so it’s a treat tonight to be sharing some of the concept art that went into the game’s production.

To start things off, here is my concept for one of the Marauders. I was tasked with setting the tone for these dudes which was alot of fun. Ill share some initial designs/ sketches at another time. I feel super lucky to have had the chance to be a part of the Outer Worlds dev team when I was working at Obsidian. It was my first time working on a video game and I could not have asked for a cooler project or a better group of people to learn from!
