Here are six new left-facing seahorses. Except as I write this, I notice that the orange seahorse has a terrible injury...an almost severed tail. In quilt terms, I forgot a flip triangle. And one might wonder how this could have gotten past the auditor. Molly has moved on and is spending most of her time auditing my lap. When I saw the Watercolor Seahorse quilt pattern by Elaine @ Summercrafter designs, I thought that it was such a clever design and have wanted to make it ever since then. The construction of this seahorse does not use paper piecing. It's just regular patchwork with lots of flip triangles and other traditional construction techniques. Some patterns need to be made in all scales to be truly appreciated and my seahorse design is one of them.
