Project I've been working on for a while now. Wanted to show what my process looks like when doing concepts for production. I start with a quick sketch. From there I start blocking out all the props keeping my shapes simple so that I can modify them later and make quick variations. Once i have an overall shape down I do a quick paintover to see what I can push to make it more interesting and push the design. Had some time in between work waiting for feedback, figured I'd do some quick sketches to warm up for another project. I think this British Transport Police photo looks really cool and wanted to do something fun with it

In 2014 I was Project Supervisor on the droid physical builds and other prop items. Responsible for resolving Christian Pearce’s illustration into a series of physical rag-doll droids for on-camera use, overseeing the 3d modelling, designing the complex joints to allow a range of human-like movement, design-for-manufacture of the 120+ parts and management of the manufacture and assembly.
