The Whirlwind Quilt Block goes by a bunch of other names - Modern Envelope, Twin Sisters, Water Wheel, etc, etc. The traditional Whirlwind quilt block uses only 2 colors but this variation uses 4 fabrics.  I'll show you 2 different ways to sew this block together and talk about another way that I've seen online.

Always Sew Busy: Modern Triangle Block (uses Sidekick Ruler from Jaybird Quilts)

Today I'm going to show you how to make this fun, bright triangle block using the Sidekick Ruler from Jaybird Quilts: The final block should be between 12 1/2" to 13" high.
