Wow! What a response! I sure didn't expect that. I can't tell you how much each of you touched my heart. I started this blog over ten years ago. I really did it for myself as an online journal and for my parents that lived several hours away. I was surprised when others found and followed me. Blog posts take a good amount of time to compile photos, load, organize and write. I started thinking that maybe blogging had become a thing of the past. Even though my intention was to do it for…

Spring Posy Bag design by Maggie Bonanomi Some weeks go by with nary a finish and others are more productive... This Maggie Bonanomi design was from Country Sampler's Willows & Early Blooms retreat last spring. This is what I'll be snacking on with my afternoon coffee, and this is what I'll be reading. We've already had a piece of this Chocolate Pumpkin Loaf for dessert last night, and it's great! Chocolatey, a touch spicey and super moist. I'll be making this again and again! The easy recipe is below (courtesy of Carrots 'n Cake's blog): Ingredients: 1-1/4 cup all-purpose flour 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder 1/2 cup sugar 3/4 cup packed brown sugar 2 eggs 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon…

Last week I attended the Ohio Rug Camp at Punderson State Park. I was excited to be a student of Maggie Bonanomi! She has written 5 wonderful books of various stitchery techniques which includes a couple of rug hooking projects too. I am a huge fan of her style and thought how fortunate I was to have her teach at a rug camp close to me. It was also fun for me to be a student and to be able to hook all day and half of the night! Here are a few classmates who were hooking after dinner. Here is…
