DO NOT skip your progressions!! You should be able to execute each progression consistently before moving on to the next.   2. DO NOT forget about your plie, your prep and your arms! At the end of the day, this jump requires 100% effort!   3. I would recommend trying this jump on a mat or gym floor before taking it to a hard surface. Due to the hard and abrupt impact of that foot hitting the ground, a mat or softer surface would be a safer option.   4. DO NOT expect perfection right away! Mastering this jump can take time. Don’t be discouraged. Refer back to your progressions often.
