Between homework, after-school activities and many other things that are in your schedule, it can be tough to get enough sleeping hours for your kids. Once your child reaches school age, sleep needs may change, but it’s important to know how much sleep they are getting and what they really need.

I had alot of requests on my last post for a chart for age 2 as well as 5+. I have similar relevant posts but I thought I’d create a new chart since the last one seems to be a hit overall [although seems like 70% of people love it, 15% think all the timing is too early and 15% think it’s all too late - can’t win ‘em all I guess 😆]

A few notes about this cart:

⭐️Morning wake-up time: for kids this age, I would be using their true wakeup time vs. the desired wakeup. That being said, if your child is waking up at 5am, unless you want to maintain that wakeup time, I’d be following the 6am schedule. I would typically recommend waking no later than 7:30am at this age to maintain the nap and a decent bedtim 10 Week Old Sleep Schedule, 6 Week Old Bedtime Routine, Sleep Calculator Bedtime Wake Up, 2 And A Half Year Old Sleep Schedule, Child Sleep Schedule Guide, Bedtime Chart, Sleep Chart, 5 Hours Of Sleep, Work Family

Have you ever wondered why newborn babies sleep so much, or why your teenager can't seem to wake up in the morning? It's all thanks to the different amounts of sleep every age group needs. Newborn babies need the most sleep, up to 16 hours a day. This is because their brains are growing and developing at a rapid pace. Toddlers and preschoolers need about 11-12 hours of sleep a day, while school-aged children need at least 10 hours. Teens need around 9 hours of sleep a day, but many don't get

Katy Bourzikas on Instagram: "Ready to Sleep Through the Night?? AWAKE in the crib is the foundation to sleeping through the night and longer naps! It’s a skill that takes time, practice, and consistency. 💤 If you’ve been feeding, rocking, or holding to ‘drowsy’ or asleep and transferring to the crib you may find that over time it’s something that now has to be done every time to fall asleep. These are all things our baby can’t do for themselves, so we continue to do these interventions…
