One of the major aspects of Universal Design has to do with environment. In a classroom, seating should be accessible to all people, without much modification. With desks and chairs like these, all people would be able to sit and learn comfortably. If a student was in a wheelchair, a chair could simply be removed from a desk, so the wheelchair could take its place. Also, with individual desks, students would be able to form groups or work alone when needed.
