I'm in love with the herb garden I created for the perimeter of the chicken run. Although a lot of false information is spread around about Chicken coops and herb gardens, I enjoy it for many reasons. Everything that's planted is healthy for the flock so they can help keep up with any overgrowth coming from the plants. I included herbs and flowers like: basil, parsely, marigolds, and cucumbers. I planted quite a few cucumber plants to provide shade as the vines grow up the chicken wire.

Chickens love to get busy. They enjoy running around, scratching and pecking at things all the time. Now when they can't find anything that encourages those activities, they get bored. And when they do, it leads to unhealthy behavior which can cause serious health problems for your chooks...
