A unique kind of dispenser called a halon fire extinguisher contains a gas that halts the chemical process. In comparison to a CO2 fire extinguisher, a halotron can put out a fire at a greater distance. The more concentrated agent of the Halotron fire extinguishers makes up for the fact that Halon fire extinguishers discharge more fully and quickly than CO2 fire extinguishers.
