a bathtub with a shower curtain hanging from it's side in a bathroom

In between dealing with all of the technical issues this week, I managed to finish up a fun little project! This is the tub/shower that will go into the retirement barn. I like rustic living, but there's no harm in having a few modern conveniences, too! This unit measures just 5-3/8" wide x 6-1/2" tall. The MBS kit was fun, although since I needed to make it a freestanding unit I had to get a little creative. The kit comes with adhesive sheets. You're supposed to stick them to each of the…

How To Make A Shower Curtain For A Dollhouse

So one thing I definitely wanted for my dollhouse bathroom was a shower curtain. I've looked everywhere and simply wasn't able to find what I was looking for. Mini stores online and those with mini items locally (Hobby Lobby and Michael's) sell every bathroom accessory imaginable, but no shower curtains. I really dislike the idea of an open tub, I mean who has something like that in their house? Somewhere online I found a reference that said a shower cap could be used to make a dollhouse…

a white tiled bathroom with black trim and glass shower door, toilet paper dispenser on the wall

You will need: - 5mm round dowel - square dowel or scraps of dowel - box cutter - bottle top First of all I made the shower head. I just cut two pieces of dowel into oblong shapes. Glue the shower head together using a good quality balsa/craft glue. Once dried I used sandpaper to sand all the sides down to make it look 'rounder'. Next move onto the waterfall shower head. I already had a precut round piece of balsa wood. You could either trace around a bottle top and cut out a piece of balsa…

a shower with blue and pink tiles on the wall next to a pair of scissors

The last few weeks has been crazy busy for me. I just returned from vacation and feel like I need another vacation to recuperate. Time away is always good for the soul, especially when it involves family, friends, food, and fun in the sun. I have to admit that I was a little anxious to get back to my miniatures, primary the Build A-long project. The dead line has come and gone. I did complete the exterior; however, the interior is incomplete. I decided to send my photos in anyway; after all…

an empty shower stall in the middle of a room that is being remodeled and remodeled

Tracey Flemming wrote in Canada Minis Group: I made this shower stall with junk. It's an empty man's disposable razor package. I painted the outside of the package with white paint. It looks like my real shower stall because it's shiny on the inside. I used Paper clip and Fimo for the shower head. Fimo and stitching floss for soap on rope. Part of a snap for drain and earring backs for taps. Scrap matte board and wood sticks to build the box to keep it standing upright.
