I love the clear humanity that we see in Mary over the course of her life’s journey. The account isn’t sanitized. It is real. Authentic. Genuine. Honest. She was confused and disturbed. Wouldn’t we all be? It is interesting to me that the Lord has been speaking to us in different ways about identity this week. Who are we? Who do people say we are? Are they correct? Who does God say we are? Do we believe Him? Are we allowing Him to teach us who we are? It’s a process.

We have to be so careful that we don’t equate God’s love for us with getting our way, in our time, & with our plan. Sometimes true love looks like having to say no or not yet because of reasons we can’t see.
