One of the absolute treasures in Brooklyn is Coney Island. It is an incredible feast for the senses with the foods, amusements, the beach, noises, the colors, and people, people and more people. My friend, Susan has been there to sketch several times and each time I missed going. We trecked out there by train and met another friend for the day. No trip to Coney Island is complete without a visit to Nathans which is known for their hot dogs, fried clams and fries. I skipped the hot dogs but…

I recently attended an all day sketching event with the NYC Urban Sketchers. We started our day at The Coney Island Museum. I had never heard of the museum and I was so glad to have the opportunity to explore it.
