Also known as La Pedrera, Antoni Gaudí's Casa Milà broke with the architectural code of its time and set the look of 20th century art.

Here's my guide to visiting the magnificent Casa Milà. This Barcelona landmark is also known as La Pedrera. The building is the fantastical creation of Antoni Gaudi, one of Spains' greatest architects. Built between 1906-12, La Pedrera is one of two civic buildings designed by Gaudi on the tony Passeig de Gràcia.

Casa Mila by Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi is logic defiant, even hard to frame properly with the camera!. This modernista house is also known as La Pedrera (quarry) and has been featured in my blog several times. Today I just want to concentrate on that set of irregular balconies with elaborate and impossible ironwork.
