Polypipe cut at 7 metre lengths and threaded over star pickets makes the structure. We read about it on Scarecrows blog. The pipe was rural water pipe for drainage. Star pickets 5'6". We think 7 metres was the maximum you should cut it at as some of the pieces have bent over a bit under the heat and/or weight of the netting. We could drill holes in the top of the pipe and thread wire through. Tying off lengths the same distance apart as the star pickets. This would keep them evenly spaced…

Its been so nice outside we've been puttering around in the yard. I don't think I've mentioned it before, but we grow blueberries in the back yard. We have 9 bushes in 2 raised beds. Yesterday, we installed the bird netting. We had to get the netting up before they started ripening or the birds would drive us crazy. This will be a banner year for berries. If we can just make sure we don't have another bad hail storm, we should be good to go. Yummm! I'm going to try making preserves this year…
