Walter Gropius designed House Gropius in 1926 in Dessau, Germany, as part of the Bauhaus faculty housing. This iconic structure embodies Bauhaus principles: functionality, simplicity, and modern materials like steel and glass. Its geometric forms, asymmetric layout, flat roofs, open floor plan, and large windows broke from traditional German architecture.
